Appointments and Pricing

  • What is the process?

    What is the process?

At Pause Health, we follow a personalized, step-by-step approach designed to provide more time, education, and individualized support:

    • A 20-minute initial consultation ($105) to ensure a mutual fit, review your goals, and explore next steps

    • A 60-minute initial intake appointment ($425) for a more in-depth review of your history, available information (including lab results, if applicable), and development of a personalized care plan

    • 30-minute follow-up appointments ($240) to provide ongoing support, review your progress, and adjust your plan as needed

This process is designed to offer extended time, deeper conversation, and a more personalized approach to your health and well-being.

  • What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept VISA, Mastercard and debit.

  • Does insurance cover your services?

Pause Health is a private-pay clinic. Services are non-insured and fall outside of provincial healthcare coverage.

Because every insurance plan is different, we’re unable to confirm coverage on your behalf. We provide detailed receipts, and you can check with your insurance provider regarding potential reimbursement

  • Can I cancel or reschedule my appointment?

Of course! We understand life happens, but we require at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Late cancellations may be subject to a fee.

Hormone Health

  • How do I know if my hormones are the problem?

Hormonal changes can impact many areas of your health. You may consider exploring this further if you’re experiencing:

    • Fatigue or low energy

    • Mood changes

    • Brain fog or memory concerns

    • Sleep disturbances

    • Hot flashes or night sweats

    • Low libido

    • Unexplained weight changes

A comprehensive review and, where appropriate, laboratory testing can provide additional insight into factors that may be contributing to your symptoms.

  • What types of hormone therapy do you offer?

We provide individualized, evidence-informed guidance on a range of options, which may include:

    • Hormone-based therapies, including bioidentical hormones

    • Non-hormonal approaches

    • Lifestyle and wellness strategies

Recommendations are personalized and based on your goals, preferences, and individual needs.

  • Is hormone therapy safe?

Hormone therapy can be a safe and effective option for many individuals. We take an individualized, evidence-informed approach when discussing whether it may be a good fit for you.

  • How long does it take to see results?

Generally, many individuals start to notice changes within a few weeks to a few months. However, there’s no one-size-fits-all approach—your experience will depend on a variety of factors, including your symptoms, your body’s response, and your overall health.

While we can’t make any guarantees (health and well-being are complex!), we’ll work closely with you to monitor your progress, provide ongoing guidance, and adjust your plan as needed to support you in feeling and functioning your best.

  • How often do I need follow-up appointments?

Follow-up is an individualized process—our goal is to support you over time while ensuring your approach feels aligned, sustainable, and effective for your needs.

Early on, visits may be more frequent so we can check in on how you’re feeling, review your progress, and make thoughtful adjustments to your plan as needed. As things stabilize, you may only need occasional check-ins throughout the year to stay on track.

We’ll work together to find a follow-up schedule that feels right for you.

Sexual Health

  • What types of sexual health concerns do you treat?

We support a range of sexual health concerns, including low libido, discomfort with intimacy, erectile concerns, arousal and orgasm challenges, vaginal dryness, and hormone-related sexual changes.

Our approach is personalized, respectful, and focused on helping you better understand and navigate your experience.

  • Will you involve my partner?

Only if you’d like to include them. Some people find it helpful, but it’s entirely your choice. We always respect your preferences and boundaries

  • Can I really talk openly about sexual health concerns?

Sexual health is health! And while sometimes it can feel uncomfortable to talk about, sexual health is an important part of your overall well-being, and it’s completely valid to seek support. We provide a safe, confidential space where you can speak openly and feel heard without judgment.

  • What types of treatment options are there?

At Pause Health, we take a personalized and evidence-informed approach to supporting sexual health concerns. Options we may explore include hormone-based therapies, vaginal or penile therapies, medications, lifestyle support, and addressing factors such as stress, sleep, and relationship dynamics.

We’ll work together to better understand what may be contributing to your concerns and develop a personalized plan that supports your sexual health and overall well-being.
